What is n8n and why do you use it?
n8n is an open-source workflow automation platform — comparable to Zapier but self-hostable. We use it for Swiss customers because: 1) self-hosting possible (data stays under your control), 2) no per-workflow licensing costs, 3) flexibly extensible with custom code, 4) 400+ integrations out-of-the-box.
How quickly does workflow automation pay off?
For manual tasks costing >10h per week: typically 2-3 months. For critical compliance workflows with error risks: often immediately (through avoided compliance issues). We always calculate the business case in the initial conversation.
Which AI models do you use?
Depending on use case: OpenAI GPT-4 (general tasks, high quality), Anthropic Claude (long documents, careful answers), locally hosted models (Llama, Mistral) when data protection has highest priority. Selection per project.
Does it work with our existing systems?
Yes. n8n has native integrations for most common tools: HubSpot, Salesforce, Bexio, Abacus, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Teams. Plus REST API for everything else.
